Funding is a periodic payment between perpetual-contract holders. Rates, intervals, limits and methodology vary by exchange and contract; annualised figures are comparison aids only and exclude fees, slippage, basis and liquidation risk.
Positive funding usually means longs pay shorts; negative funding usually means shorts pay longs. Before drawing a conclusion, check the same contract, funding interval, liquidity, fees, price divergence and each venue's methodology.
